Women's Tennis Begins Spring Slate at Home Wednesday

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State University women's tennis team is set to begin its 2012 spring schedule when it hosts IUPUI Wednesday, at 6 p.m. in the Muncie YMCA Tennis Center.
The two teams will play three doubles and six singles matches. The Cardinals begin their 35th year of tennis at Ball State which began with the 1977-78 season. Ball State head women's tennis coach Christine Bader enters her second season at the helm of the Cardinals.
"We are looking forward to kicking off the spring 2012 season tomorrow with a home opener at the Muncie YMCA," said Bader. "Our first five matches will be played at home. The team has had a great week of practice and is eager to start competing. It will be exciting for Ashlyn Rang and Courtney Wild to compete in their first dual match."
The Ball State women's tennis team hosts Dayton (Jan. 26), Wright State (Jan. 27), Detroit Mercy (Feb. 3) and Chicago (Feb. 10). For further information you can log onto www.ballstatesports.com.
