MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State women's swimming & diving team remains undefeated with a 203-74 victory versus Eastern Illinois Friday afternoon at Lewellen Aquatic Center.
Ball State posted wins in all 16 events, with four Cardinals collecting a pair of individual event victories.
Sophomore swimmer Haley Richter (Roanoke, Ind./Columbia City) tallied wins in the 100 back (57.55) and 100 free (52.60), while sophomore Bridgette Ruehl (Lowell, Ind./Lowell) posted victories in the 100 breast (1:06.77) and 200 breast (2:24.95).
Another individual scoring wins for the Cardinals was sophomore Emily Wisolek (Middlebury, Ind./Northridge) in the 200 back (2:08.38) and 100 fly (59.02), while freshman Leighann Mattson (Zionsville, Ind./Zionsville) added a first-place win in the 500 free (5:31.26).
Junior Katelyn Pratt-Collins (Greenville, Ohio/Greenville) tallied a victory in the 400 IM with a time of 4:40.35 and also joined sophomore Bridgette Ruehl (Lowell, Ind./Lowell), senior Sara Hostetler (Vincennes, Ind./Jasper) and junior Mallory Przbylinski (Chesterton, Ind./Chesterton) on the first-place 200 medley relay (1:48.87).
Freshman Kayla Hussey (Goshen, Ind./Goshen) secured a first-place finish in the 1000 free (10:53.51), while sophomore Cheyanne Jackson (Atlanta, Ind./Hamilton Heights) posted a win in the 200 free (1:57.82).
Freshmen Logan Brink (Markle, Ind./Norwell) and Katie Saulman (Corydon, Ind./Corydon Central) also added victories in the 50 free (24.91) and 200 fly (2:12.66), respectively.
Also, the first-place 400 freestyle relay of junior Jillian Bischoff (Atlanta, Ind./Hamilton Heights), freshman Elaine Pitsas (Munster, Ind./Munster), sophomore Jackie Iglesias (Aurora, Ind./West Aurora) and senior Nicole Saulters (Highland, Ind./Highland) clocked in at 3:40.27.
Senior diver Whitney Adams (Danville, Ind./Danville) also added first-place efforts on the 1-meter (265.12) and 3-meter (318.67) boards.
Ball State returns to action Saturday as the Cardinals head to Normal, Ill. to face the Illinois State Redbirds at 1 p.m.
