TJ Carpenter Named MAC's Men's Golfer of the Week

TJ Carpenter, a senior member of the Ball State men's golf team, has been selected the Mid-American Conference Golfer of the Week for his performance at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational.
Carpenter tied for first in the event at the Eisenhower Golf Course in Colorado Springs, Colo. He tallied a 71-67-71=209 to earn co-medalist honors in the 100-golfer field.
Carpenter helped Ball State to a fifth place finish at the event. This marked the second straight week the Cardinals have had a co-medalist at a tournament. Tyler Merkel won the weekly award after earning co-medalist honors at the Northern Intercollegiate in Ball State's season opening tournament.
The Cardinals will compete at the Golfweek Conference Challenge at Spirit Hollow Golf Course in Burlington, Iowa, Sept. 25-26.
