July 05, 2011 | Soccer
MUNCIE, Ind. - Construction of the new BSU Soccer Field at the Briner Sports Complex is in high gear as the weather heats up just north of Scheumann Stadium. The new soccer field is under construction with the turf field installation currently taking place. Photos of the construction progress (as of July 5) can be viewed in the attached photo gallery.
The Briner Sports Complex will include a new soccer facility and an entryway for the soccer, field hockey and track facilities. The $1.7 million project will be known as the Briner Sports Complex to recognize the outstanding contribution of Ken and Peggy Briner, who are longtime loyal fans and contributors to Ball State athletics.
In addition to the new soccer facility and entryway for the competition fields north of Scheumann Stadium, the Briner Sports Complex will include a press box and storage building for soccer. The project is expected to be completed July 31, 2011.
