Alex Stinson Named MAC Men's Golfer of the Week

Alex Stinson, a sophomore member of the Ball State men's golf team, has been selected the Mid-American Conference Golfer of the Week.
Stinson earned the award for the first time in his career after finishing third at the Mizzou Intercollegiate at The Club at Old Hawthorne in Columbia, Mo., Monday and Tuesday. The third-place finish was a career best for Stinson.
Stinson managed a 75-74-73=222 and was the top MAC finisher in the field. He helped the Cardinals to a tie for fifth out of 16 teams, including conference opponents Eastern Michigan, Northern Illinois and Toledo.
Ball State will compete at the Hoosier Invitational at the Indiana University Golf Course Saturday and Sunday. The Cardinals will host the Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational at Delaware Country Club in Muncie, Ind., April 16-17.
