Women's Tennis Wins 6-1 Against Oakland

MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State women's tennis team bounces back with a 6-1 victory over the Oakland Grizzlies today at the Muncie YMCA. The Cardinals are 3-5 this season.
The Cardinals swept the doubles play once again. The team of Lauren Pickrel and Sarah Hebble dominated over Oakland's Grace Keating and Amanda Pettey, 8-0, in the No. 3 spot.
BSU won five of the six singles matches. Kristel Sanders faced Oakland's Karen Kuroub in the No. 3 spot. Sanders battled and eventually ended up falling to Kuroub in the third set, 7-10. Georgina Thomson beat Young 6-1 in both sets in the No. 1 spot.
The Ball State women's tennis team will face West Virginia State at Dayton, Ohio. The first match will begin at 1:30 p.m.
