Zoe Camus Signs to Play on Women's Golf Team

Zoe Camus, a native of France, has signed grant-in-aid papers to attend Ball State University and compete on the women's golf team, according to head women's golf coach Katherine Mowat.
Camus, who will be eligible to compete for the Cardinals in the spring of 2012 and during the 2012-13 academic year, has already earned a bachelor's degree from Western Paris University in France and will attend graduate school at Ball State. She received her degree in adapted physical activities and will pursue a master's at Ball State in sports psychology.
Camus is ranked 63rd in the 2011 French Ladies Amateur Rankings after being ranked 97th in 2010. She placed third at the Second Division French Team Ladies Amateur Championship, and was eighth at the Dinard Ladies Open in 2011. In addition, Camus placed 20th at the 2011 French Ladies Amateur Championship and was 23rd at the 2011 French Ladies Cup Amateur Stroke Play Championship. In 2010, Camus was 19th at the French Ladies Cup Amateur Stroke Play and 44th at the French International Ladies Amateur Stroke Play Championship.
Camus is a 2008 graduate of Lycee Jeanne d'Albret High School in France, and earned her bachelor's degree in three years. In 2009, she worked for the Handigolf Association for disabled top-level golfers, and in 2010 worked at the National Institute for top-level disabled athletes.
Camus played junior golf and was team captain plus tallied a career best 75 at the French National Junior Team Championship in 2008. She competed for Paris International Golf Club from 2009-11 and managed a career best 70 in 2011. Neither Western Paris University nor Lycee Jeanne d'Albret High School had competitive women's golf teams.
The daughter of Patrick and Beatrice Camus, she has two sisters and one brother. Camus competed in rugby at Western Paris University and helped the rugby team to a national tournament victory in May of 2011.
