MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State University women's tennis team competed at the ITA Ohio Valley Regional this past weekend which took place at the Racquet Club of Memphis.
"The ITA Regionals was a great opportunity for Courtney, Kristel, Ashlyn, and Dena," said Ball State head women's tennis coach Christine Bader. "They got to see and compete against some of the best competition in our region. It was a privilege for our two freshmen, Courtney Wild and Ashlyn Rang, to make the main draw in singles. Wild and Kristel Sanders had a great doubles match against Kentucky and continue to improve. I look forward to our last fall invitational at Michigan State the weekend of November 4th."
The Cardinals had two players qualify for the main draw which were freshmen Courtney Wild and Ashlyn Rang while teammates senior Dena Boulieris and sophomore Kristel Sanders lost in the first round of the singles qualifying draw.
The Ball State women's tennis team will close out fall play when it competes at Michigan State Indoor Invitational Friday, Nov. 4.
