Men's Tennis Wins Two Sunday

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State men's tennis team improved its overall record to 2-1 on the season after winning its double header Sunday over IPFW and Eastern Illinois at the Muncie YMCA Tennis Center. The Cardinals defeated IPFW by a score of 7-0 in the afternoon match and closed out evening play with a 6-1 victory over EIU.
The Cardinals swept the double matches in both contests today. In the first match BSU won 8-4 at No. 1, 2 and 3 doubles. In singles action Ball State was victorious in all six matches. Dalton Albertin, Alexander Brym and Austin Smith all took down IPFW in two sets.
In the evening match over EIU the Cardinals started off strong capturing the doubles point. In singles play BSU won five of the six matches. Albetin, Zane Smith and Austin Smith defeated EIU in straight sets.
The Ball State University men's tennis team will host Xavier Saturday at the YMCA Tennis Center. The match will begin at 1 p.m.
