Women's Tennis Finishes Play At Spartan Invite

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Ball State University women's tennis team ended its three day competition Sunday at the Spartan Invitational hosted by Big Ten foe Michigan State.
Ball State was one of five school's from the Mid-American Conference to play in the tournament. Other MAC schools were Akron, Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan and Toledo. Michigan State, California University of Pennsylvania, Chicago State, Cleveland State, Detroit, IPFW, Louisville and Marquette also were part of the invitational.
After recapping the weekend, the twosome of Paola Rodriguez and Hayley Hall were named champions of the doubles C Flight. Hall also managed two singles victories against Louisville and classmate Georgina Thomson took a match from Michigan State. Rodriguez also claimed two singles matches on the weekend.

The Ball State women's tennis team will continue fall action at the ITA Ohio valley Regional in Knoxville, Tenn., Oct. 14-18.
