Women's Golf Finishes Second at Iowa Hawkeye Invitational

Ball State's women's golf team, under the direction of head coach Katherine Mowat, finished second out of eight teams at the Iowa Hawkeye Invitational in Iowa City, Iowa.
The Cardinals managed a 309-314-309=932 to finish behind only the host Hawkeyes, who managed a 926.
Brittany Kelly finished second in the tournament with a 71-75-74=220 and was six strokes behind the medalist, Amy Anderson of North Dakota State, who tallied a 214.
Katie Windlan finished fifth with a 77-78-76=231, while Rachael Pruett tied for eighth with an 80-79-76=235.
Sarah Westaway tied for 30th with an 81-82-83=246, and Chantelle Hefer was 41st with an 82-85-89=256.
Autumn Duke, who was competing as an individual, managed a 44th place showing with an 89-92-86=267.
Joining Ball State in the tournament field were Iowa, Northern Iowa, Drake, South Dakota State, North Dakota State, Creighton and Illinois State.
The Cardinals will return to action Sept. 27-28, when they host the Cardinal Classic at The Players Club in Muncie, Ind.
