Ross Cosat Named Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar

Ross Cosat, a senior member of the 2009-10 Ball State University men's golf team, has been named a Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar.
In order to be considered for selection, a golf student-athlete must have at least a 3.2 grade-point average, participate in at least 70 percent of the team's competitive rounds and have a stroke average under 76.0.
Cosat, who managed a 3.495 grade-point average on Ball State's 4.0 scale and graduated last May, has received the award for a second straight season.
Cosat, who qualified to play in the prestigious Southern Amateur Championship at Shoal Creek in Birmingham, Ala., and made the cut in the 72-hole tournament, was second for the Cardinals with a 74.41 average last season as a senior. He was named the Earl Yestingsmeier Student-Athlete Award winner for Ball State after competing in 11 events and managing three top-10 finishes last season.
