Three Baseball Players Selected In 2010 MLB Draft

MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State baseball team had three players selected in the 2010 Major League Baseball Draft this week. Junior second baseman Kolbrin Vitek (Bryan, Ohio/Bryan) was taken in the first round by the Boston Red Sox, redshirt sophomore right-hander Perci Garner (Dover, Ohio/Dover) was selected in the second round by the Philadelphia Phillies and senior Zach Dygert (Angola, Ind./Angola) was tabbed by the Houston Astros in the 22nd round. The Cardinals have had three players drafted for the past two seasons as Jeremy Hazelbaker, Brenden Stines and Dygert were selected last season in the MLB Draft.
