Ross Cosat Named to Men's Golf Academic All-MAC Team

Ross Cosat, a senior member of the Ball State men's golf team, has been named to the Academic All-Mid-American Team, which is selected by the league's faculty athletics representatives.
To be eligible for the award, the student-athlete must maintain a minimum 3.2 grade-point average on Ball State's 4.0 scale plus compete in 75 percent of the team's tournaments during the season.
Cosat owns a 3.495 GPA as a marketing major at Ball State. Also a 2008 Academic All-MAC selection, Cosat played in 11 tournaments and tallied a season low 67 at the Xavier Invitational. Cosat, who also tallied a 69 and placed fourth at the Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational, managed three top-10 and four top-20 finishes in 2009-10. He tied for fifth at the Dayton Fall Invitational and tied for sixth at Xavier. Ball State's 2009-10 Earl Yestingsmeier Student-Athlete Award winner, Cosat was a 2009 Golf Coaches Association Scholar and is a candidate for the award again this season.
