Men's Golf Eighth at MAC; Steger All-MAC Second Team

Ball State's men's golf team, under the direction of head coach Mike Fleck, finished in eighth place at the 2010 Mid-American Conference Championships at Longaberger Golf Club in Nashport, Ohio.
Ball State managed a 310-306-306-300=1222. Kent State won the title with an 1151, Eastern Michigan was second with an 1174 and Akron was third at 1197.
Miami University finished fourth with a 1202, Ohio tallied a 1212 to place fifth and Northern Illinois carded a 1213 to finish sixth. Toledo finished seventh with a 1219, while Bowling Green was ninth with a 1232.
TJ Carpenter managed a 77-74-74-72=297 to finish in a tie for ninth in the 45-player field. Eric Steger tallied a 76-75-76-76=303 and tied for 19th.
Steger, a junior member of the Cardinals golf team, was named to the All-MAC Second Team.
Anthony Novak scored a 78-80-76-77=311 to tie for 33rd, while Tony Lazzara carded a 79-79-82-75=315 to tie for 40th and Zac Henderson tallied a 79-78-80-79=316 to tie for 42nd.
