Men's Tennis Defeats Toledo In MAC Opener

After losing the doubles point the Cardinals made a comeback after winning four singles matches to take the victory from the Rockets. It was a tight match but Eduardo Pavia won in straight sets at the No. 1 spot over Aleksandar Elezovic, 6-0, 6-0. Dalton Albertin beat Gursher Harika 6-3, 6-3 at No. 5 singles then teammate Shaun Bussert pulled out a close three set match winning 7-6 (4) in the third.
The match was tied 3-3 and came down to newcomer Alex Brym at No. 4 singles. Brym dropped the first set 5-7 before defeating Leo Sarria 7-6 (3) then 6-2 in the third to take the victory for the Cardinals.
The Ball State University men's tennis team travels to MAC rival Western Michigan Saturday for a 1 p.m. start in Kalamazoo.
