Ware Named MAC West Player of the Week

Jessie Ware (Phoenix, Ariz./Hamilton) was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week for her performance in Ball State's sweep of Dayton the league office announced, Tuesday. This is Ware's second nod this season, her first earned on March 2.
The redshirt senior transfer from Arizona State hit at a team-leading .750 clip and stole a perfect four-for-four bases to help Ball State sweep Dayton 7-2 and 5-0 in Wednesday's doubleheader. Amassing three runs-batted-in in two games, Ware also led the team in total bases and drilled two doubles, each resulting in an RBI. Ware's batting average has improved steadily over the last three weekends and is now .424 this season.
