
Gymnastics Team Defeated at Central Michigan

Ball State's women's gymnastics team suffered a 194.325 to 193.275 loss at Mid-American Conference foe Central Michigan Saturday in Mount Pleasant, Mich.
The Cardinals will complete the regular season with a Senior Day home meet Sunday, March 21, vs. Eastern Michigan at 1 p.m. in Worthen Arena.
Brittney Emmons led Ball State with a second place finish in the all-around with a 38.500 mark and a first-place showing in the floor exercise with a 9.875. Emmons also tied for fourth on the vault with a 9.725.
Ashley Jacob led Ball State with a fourth-place showing on the bars with a 9.725 score, which was a season best.
On the balance beam, Julie Cotter placed second with a 9.80, while Katelyn Busacker was third with a 9.75. The mark was a career high for Cotter, while Nicole Allen and Megan Howard each tallied career highs on the event with a pair of 9.675 scores on the event.
Allen and Howard also posted career best marks on the floor. Allen managed a 9.775, while Howard tallied a 9.625. Amber Parsley also added a career high on the floor with a 9.675, helping Ball State to a season best 48.80 team score on the floor.
