
Women's Tennis Loses 4-3 To Morehead State

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State University women's tennis team lost a hard fought battle to Morehead State Sunday afternoon at the Muncie YMCA Tennis Center. The Cardinals dropped the match 4-3 after sophomore Sarah Hebble lost the tie breaker at No. 4 singles.
With the loss the Cardinals fall to 4-2 on the season. Ball State led early 1-0 over Morehead State after taking the doubles point from the Eagles. The Cardinals swept the doubles play after the twosome of Dena Boulieris and Georgina Thomson defeated Kayla Tuscany and Alix Young, 8-1. BSU twosome Lauren Pickrel and Katherine Rist won at the No. 2 spot 8-6 while Katherine Rist alongside Kylee Johnson rounded out doubles play with an 8-4 victory.
The match came down to the last singles match on the court. Hebble won the first set 6-3 before falling 1-6 and then 6-7 (7) in the tie breaker.
