Men's Tennis Claims 4-3 Victory Over Illinois State

The Cardinals got off to a quick start winning at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles to claim the doubles point taking a 1-0 edge over the Redbirds. Junior Eduardo Pavia and Dalton Albertin teammed up at No. 1 doubles to defeat Alexander Pelaez and Filip Miljevic, 8-4. At No. 3 doubles sophomore Cliff Morrison and teammate Derek Carpenter took down Michael Hobson and Micah LeMoine, 8-6.
Ball State won at No. 1, 3, and 5 singles to take the match from Illinois State. After Pavia beat Timon Reichelt in three sets, 6-1, 1-6, 7-5 at the No. 1 spot the Cardinals went up 4-2 over the Redbirds. Sophomore Andres Monroy and freshman Albertin were also winners.
The Ball State men's tennis team will host Wisconsin-Green Bay Sunday, Feb. 21 at 1 p.m.
