Women's Golf Team Captained by Kelly and Pruett

Brittany Kelly and Rachael Pruett, both senior members of the Ball State women's golf team, are serving as captains for the 2010-11 season, according to head coach Katherine Mowat.
Kelly, a senior for the Cardinals, leads the team with a 75.31 average. She was named one of three Mid-American Conference Golfers of the Week for her tie for fourth at the Penn State Nittany Lion Invitational with a 71-75-75=221. She had four top-20 finishes and three top-10 placings in five events this fall.
Pruett, a Ball State senior, has a 78.46 average in five events this season. She tallied a career low 70 in the second round of the Ball State Cardinal Classic and was named the MAC Golfer of the Week after winning her first collegiate tournament. Pruett posted a 72-70=142 to win the Cardinal Classic. She had three top-10 finishes this fall.
Ball State will open the spring portion of its season Feb. 13 at the Claud Jacobs Challenge at Victoria Country Club in Victoria, Texas.
