Soccer's Missy Gordon Earns All-MAC Accolades

MUNCIE, Ind. - Ball State senior midfielder Missy Gordon (Carmel, Ind./Marshall) has been named second team All-Mid-American Conference, the league announced Friday morning. This is the first postseason honor for Gordon and she becomes the 14th Cardinal all-time to earn second team All-MAC honors.
Gordon, a two-year letterwinner at BSU, was the offensive catalyst for the Cardinals as she finished the year second on the team with seven points. She scored three goals and handed out an assist for the Cardinals who finished the year 7-10-2 overall. She led the team in shots for the second straight year as she tallied 55 this season to finish third in the conference.
Gordon scored a career-high two goals early this season in non-conference play against IUPUI (Aug. 27). She also found the back of the net in the Cardinals' 3-3 tie against Bowling Green (Oct. 10). She finished her career with 14 points (5g, 4a) after transferring to BSU from Marshall.
Toledo head coach Brad Evans was named the MAC Coach of the Year while Western Michigan's Stephanie Skowneski and Eastern Michigan's Monique Budani earned MAC Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year honors, respectively.
