Women's Tennis Defeats Wright State 7-0

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State University women's tennis team notched its second straight victory after defeating Wright State 7-0 Thursday evening at the Muncie Northwest YMCA. With the win the Cardinals improve to 2-0 while Wright State falls to 0-1.
Ball State led early 1-0 after claiming the doubles point. At No. 1 Doubles the BSU twosome of Dena Boulieris and Georgina Thomson claimed an 8-5 victory over Wright State's Kenisha Webb and Masha Peresetsky. The Cardinals ended doubles action after Sarah Hebble and Lauren Pickrel earned the 8-3 win over Taylor Hines and Amanda Albuquerque at No. 2.
In Singles action all six of the Cardinals managed defeats over Wright State. Muncie native Hayley Hall won in two sets at the No. 1 slot teammates Georgina Thomson, Kylee Johnson and Katherine Rist followed with two set conquests over WSU.
Ball State will host Big Ten foe Indiana Saturday at the Muncie Northwest YMCA Tennis Center. The match will begin at 2 p.m.
