Think Pink With BSU Athletics This Weekend
September 28, 2009 | Field Hockey, Soccer
MUNCIE, Ind. -- In an effort to promote breast cancer awareness, the Ball State Athletics Department will take part in the Think Pink Initiative at selected home events this weekend. As part of the initiative, fans are encouraged to wear pink to Ball State field hockey and soccer to show their support in the fight against breast cancer.
BSU's Think Pink weekend kicks off Friday when the Cardinals' field hockey team battles Miami at 3 p.m. in a Mid-American Conference contest at BSU Turf Field.
Sunday, the initiative wraps up when the soccer team opens the home portion of its 2009 regular season schedule with a 1p.m. league match-up versus Toledo at the BSU Soccer Field.
At each event, Think Pink t-shirts in support of the Ball State team will be on sale for $10 while Pink Ribbon cups will be available for $2, with all proceeds benefitting the Ball Memorial Hospital Breast Center. Donations will also be accepted.
Gill Brothers proudly sponsors Ball State's Think Pink Weekend.
