MUNCIE, Ind. -- Since she was four-years old, Ball State senior midfielder Megan Ridley (Indianapolis, Ind./Lawrence Central H.S.) has been kicking a soccer ball.
As the Cardinals enter the Mid-American Conference season, Ridley plans to continue doing just that.
"It is kind of weird because it is her life," said Ridley's father, Damon. "She has been doing it since she was a little kid and she has never looked back."
In her career, Ridley has played in 64 games for the Cardinals entering MAC play Sept. 24. Ridley, along with junior midfielder Cortney Coombs and redshirt sophomore Tina Vannatta make up the team's three captains.
"A lot of my goals are to really just not let my team down,' Ridley said. "I have to give my best, 100 percent of the time. It is my last year."
Ball State head coach Michael Lovett believes Ridley sets a great example for her teammates.
"If she does something or says something, the room stops," Lovett said. "People will quit talking because they respect her so much."
