Women's Golf Finishes Second in Own Cardinal Classic

The Ball State University women's golf team placed second out of 16 teams at its own Cardinal Classic at The Players Club in Muncie, Ind.
The Cardinals tallied a 293-305=598 to finish seven strokes behind Eastern Michigan's 298-293=591.
Ball State sophomore Kristtini Cain tied for ninth in the event with a 71-78=149. Three Cardinals -- Brittany Kelly, Kirsty O'Connor and Katie Windlan -- tied for 14th. Kelly carded a 72-79=151, O'Connor managed a 75-76=151 and Windlan tallied a 77-74=151. Rachael Pruett tied for 19th with a 75-77=152.
Ball State freshman Autumn Duke competed as an individual and tied for 43rd with a 79-79=158.
Ball State defeated fellow Mid-American Conference foes Ohio (7th - 310-308=618), Western Michigan (8th - 313-307=620) and Northern Illinois (10th - 312-318=630).
Emily Podzielinski from Eastern Michigan won the event with a 72-69=141.
