Field Hockey's Jones Selected As Player Of The Week

MUNCIE, Ind. - Ball State junior forward Hannah Jones (Louisville, Ky./Dupont Manual) has been named the Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Week as announced by league officials Tuesday for the first time in her career.
In the first two games of the 2009 season, Jones logged three goals. Two of her goals proved to be the game winners against Davidson and Appalachian State. She has scored more goals this weekend than in her past two years.
The Cardinals started off the 2009 season with two straight wins, tying last season's win record in the first weekend. The team looks to continue its streak against Fairfield and Villanova on the road over Labor Day Weekend.
