Men's Golfer Eric Steger Wins IGA Tournament

Eric Steger, a junior member of the Ball State University men's golf team, won the Indiana Golf Association Match Play Championships at The Trophy Club in Lebanon, Ind.
Steger (Noblesville, Ind./Noblesville H.S.) defeated Chase Wright of Muncie and a sophomore on the Indiana University men's golf team 2&1 in the semifinals. In the championship match, Steger defeated Erich Johnston of Fort Wayne in 21 holes to win the title.
Johnston defeated Ball State senior Ross Cosat (Carthage, Ind./Knightstown) 2&1 in the other semifinal match.
Seven Ball State golfers advanced to the round of 32 in the tournament which began with 104 golfers.
