
Men's Tennis Remains Undefeated With Win At Toledo

TOLEDO, Ohio - The Ball State University men's tennis team defeated Toledo 4-3 Sunday evening in Mid-American Conference action. With the win the Cardinals improve to 11-8 overall and remains undefeated in league action at 3-0.
Ball State took the early 1-0 lead over the Rockets after capturing the doubles point. The BSU doubles tandem of senior Jose Perdomo and freshman Zane Smith defeated UT's Jared Miller and Nutthavit Likitkumchorn 8-3 at No. 1. Senior Jorge Rodriguez and Derek Carpenter defeated Jayson Miller and Aleksander Elezovic 8-6 at No. 3.
It came down to sophomore Eduardo Pavia's match at No. 1 singles to secure the victory for the Cardinals. Pavia defeated senior Rocket Jared Miller in three sets 7-5, 4-6, 6-3. Perdomo and Rodriguez also won their singles matches on the day.
The Ball State University men's tennis team host MAC rival Western Michigan Saturday at the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center weather permitting. The match begins at 1 p.m.
