Women's Tennis Falls 6-1 To Defending MAC Champs Buffalo

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State University women's tennis team lost a 6-1 decision to Buffalo Saturday afternoon at the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center. With the loss the Cardinals fall to 5-9 overall and 0-3 in the Mid-American Conference.
The Cardinals lost the doubles point to Buffalo after dropping two of the three matches to the Bulls. The Ball State twosome of freshmen Sarah Hebble and Kylee Johnson captured the lone doubles victory for the Cardinals after pulling off an 8-5 victory over Sofya Ivanyuk and Smaranda Stan at No. 2.
Ball State won only one singles match. At No. 6 Freshman Hanna Oman defeated Anna Subenkova, 6-2, 6-2.
The Ball State University women's tennis team continues home league action Friday against Toledo at the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center weather permitting. The match will start at 1 p.m.
