Men's Tennis Captures 6-1 Victory At Buffalo

BUFFALO, NY - The Ball State University men's tennis team improved to 10-8 overall and 2-0 in Mid-American Conference after pulling off a 6-1 defeat at Buffalo Friday night at the South Towns Tennis Center.
Despite falling behind early after losing the doubles point to Buffalo, the Cardinals rebounded with a sweep in singles action winning all six of their matches to claim the victory.
Freshman Cliff Morrison started Ball State off with the first win in singles play after defeating Alex Kalinin 6-4, 6-3 at No. 3. Senior Jose Perdomo then pulled off a three set upset at No. 1 over Marcelo Mazzetto, 6-4, 4-6, 6-1. Sophomore Eduardo Pavia followed by teammates freshman Andres Monroy, senior Jorge Rodriguez and sophomore Shaun Bussert would round out the four remaining matches to clinch the win for the Cardinals.
With Morrison's victory he improved to 13-3 on the season which is the best overall mark out of all the Cardinals.
The Ball State University men's tennis team continues league action on the road when it travels to Toledo Sunday. The match is set for a 1 p.m. start.
