Darud and Rodriguez Signs With Women's Tennis

Darud has played tennis since the age of four at the Malmoe Bellevue Tennis Club. At the age of 12 she won the Swedish indoors championship. In 2004 Darud's club team came in third place for the indoor Swedish championships. Darud captured the 2005 state championship in single indoors for 16 year olds. She was a member of the Swedish outdoor championship team in 2006 and 2007. Darud has not only played for teams in
Rodriguez has played on the varsity team for six years. She was captain of her team her junior and senior year. Rodriguez garnered MVP honors as a junior. She has helped her team to the Puerto Rico High School Alliance championships for five straight years. Rodriguez was ranked No. 1 singles player in girls 12, 14, and 18 years of age in the Puerto Rico Tennis Association. In 2007 she was ranked No. 1 in doubles play for 18 year olds.
