Women's Golf in Fifth at Duramed MAC Preview

Ball State's women's golf team is tied for fifth at the Duramed Mid-American Conference Preview at The Hawthorns Golf and Country Club in Fishers, Ind., after the first round. The second 18 holes scheduled for Monday was postponed due to darkness and will resume Tuesday at 10 a.m., with the final 18 holes to immediately follow.
Rachael Pruett is tied for 10th with a 77. Brittany Kelly is tied for 18th after a first round 78. Kirsty O'Connor and Kristtini Cain are tied for 21st with first round 79's. Katie Windlan is tied for 66th after carding an 85, while Autumn Duke is competing as an individual and is tied for 53rd with an 83.
Joining the Cardinals at the event are Akron, Bowling Green, Bradley, Butler, Cincinnati, Eastern Michigan, Indiana State, Middle Tennessee State, Northern Illinois, Oakland, Ohio, Southern Illinois, Toledo, Western Michigan and Youngstown State.
The tournament is being played at 6,114 yards on the par-72 course, and is hosted by the University of Toledo. The Hawthorns will host the MAC Championships this spring.
