The Cardinals got an early 1-0 edge over the Raiders after winning the doubles point. At No. 1 singles Hebble earned a 6-4, 6-4 win over Kari Presti. Boulieris defeated Masha Peresetsky, 7-5, 6-2 at No. 2. The Cardinals dropped only one match in singles action and that was at No. 6 as newcomer Crasto lost the first set 7-6 (5) and then dropped the second set 6-3 to Kelsey Miles.
