The team was made up of six boys and six girls from Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Illinois and Indiana. The tournament began on June 21 and ended with the championship on June 29.
The midwest D team known as the Impalas were undefeated in pool B play after winning all five of their matches. The Impalas then crossed over to play the pool A team in the championship match.
The midwest team defeated other sections of the tournament such as the Missouri Valley, Middle States and New England.
"I really enjoyed coaching this group of young people," said Bull. "They were a great group to work with and responded well to my style of coaching. It was a very gratifying event."
