Soccer Inks Three High School Standouts

Concannon, a midfielder, was a four-year letterwinner at St. Joseph's, including two years as team captain. She guided her team to a 52-18-6 overall record during her career, capped off by a 16-2-2 mark as a senior. She led her team to the North Indiana Conference Championship in 2005, 2006 and 2007.
“Christine is a very versatile player who will provide depth for us all over the field,” Lovett said. “Her speed and quickness will be a true asset to our team.”
Concannon was a three-time All-Conference honoree and picked up All-District accolades in 2005 and 2007. She was rated one of the Top 60 Girls in the class of 2008 by Hoosierfutbol.com.
Gilbert, a goalkeeper, was a three-year letterwinner and two-time captain at
“Alexa is a very athletic goalkeeper,” Lovett said. “She has had success at the high school level and will provide depth for us in the goalkeeping position.”
Gilbert also excelled in track as she holds the school record in the 400M dash at 58.8 seconds. She garnered First Team All-Conference honors for the 400M dash and the 1600M relay in 2005.
Hernandez, a forward, was a three-year letterwinner at
“Adriana is a very quick and technical forward,” Lovett said. “She has the ability to come in and make an impact for us this season.”
