Men's Golf Signee Earns Top-10 Finish at State Meet

Zac Henderson, a senior at Northridge High School who signed a national letter of intent to play golf at Ball State beginning this fall, tied for 10th at the Indiana High School Boys Golf State Finals at The Legends Golf Course in Franklin, Ind.
Henderson managed a 73-69=142 on the par-70 course to tie for 10th out of the 56 golfers who made the cut and advanced to the state finals. Henderson entered the final round tied for 22nd before shooting his 69, which tied for the second low round of the tournament's final 18 holes.
“Zac Henderson knows how to compete and win,” Ball State head golf coach Mike Fleck stated in a release when he signed Henderson to the letter of intent. “He has won tournaments at the junior level and is a powerful player. Zach has an experienced resume with top-level competition.”
Henderson will begin competition for Ball State this fall. The Cardinals open the fall portion of their schedule Aug. 31 at the Rutherford Intercollegiate at Penn State. Ball State will host the Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational Sept. 22-23 at Delaware Country Club in Muncie.
