
Gymnastics Falls To 13th-Ranked Denver

DENVER, Colo. - The Ball State University women's gymnastics team dropped to 0-6 on the season with a 195.125 to 189.250 loss at 13th-ranked Denver Saturday night.
Senior Erica Gilkerson scored a 9.625 on vault placing seventh and earning the highest vault finish out of the Cardinals. Ashley Jacob had her highest showing on bars with a personal best 9.750 which earned her a fifth place honors.
In the final two events Kristin Sprague earned a personal high 9.700 on beam for a tie at third. Gilkerson wasn't to far behind with a 9.650 showing. The Cardinals managed to take the beam event from the ranked Pioneers with a score of 48.050 to 47.750. Gilkerson turned in a score of 9.625 in her floor routine for a seventh-place finish.
Ball State gymnastics returns home on Friday, Feb. 22 as they host Eastern Michigan in Irving Gymnasium. The meet will begin at 6 p.m.
