Women's Tennis Ends Day Two At Queen City Collegiate

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Ball State University women's tennis team completed day two of action at the Queen City Collegiate Invitational Saturday evening hosted by Cincinnati.
In singles consolation action Sarah Hebble (Sellersburg, Ind./Silver Creek) defeated Elizabeth Young of Cincinnati in Flight B action by a score of 6-3, 6-2. Kylee Johnson (Indianapolis, Ind./Lawrence North) captured a 6-3, 2-6, 10-6 victory over Dayton's Loni Dickerhoof in the A singles last chance bracket. Closing out singles action was Dena Boulieris (Lakeforest, Ill./Libertyville) who won in the flight C singles last chance over Dayton's Molly Mathews, 6-2, 6-0.
In doubles action the Cardinal twosome of Georgina Thomson (Sydney, Australia/St. Margaret's) and Hanna Ohman (Pitea, Sweden/Kramfors Tennis Gymnasium) took down Vera Shkundira and Ayano Tanaka of Kennesaw State, 8-5. Thomson and Ohman would then lose in the semifinals.
The Ball State women's tennis team will close out action at the Queen City Collegiate Invitational Sunday.
