Women?s Tennis Hosts Fall Invitational Friday

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State University women's tennis team is set to host the Ball State Fall Invitational, which will begin on Friday (Sept. 28) and will end Saturday (Sept. 29). Competition will take place at the newly rennovated Cardinal Creek Tennis Center and at Northside Middle School.
This weekend marks the fall opener for the Cardinals. The tournament consists of seven-team field, which includes Ball State, Miami, Northern Illinois, Dayton, Butler, IPFW and Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
The tournament consists of four flights of singles with draws of 16 apiece. There will also be four flights of doubles with pool play in each flight.
Kathy Bull begins her 20th year as head coach of the Cardinals. Ball State returns Second Team All-Mid-American Conference selection Sophie Quist along with six letterwinners.
Just a reminder that the Ball State University women's tennis team will welcome back former players at the Alumni Reunion, which will be held on Saturday, Sept. 29.
