Aiello and Alexander Earn All-Tournament Honors

Aiello anchored the Cardinals' defense that allowed just two goals in the two games over the weekend. She spearheaded the defensive effort on Friday night after the Cardinals saw starting goalkeeper Rachael Murphy (
“Once again, this weekend was another strong and consistent performance from Annie,” head coach Michelle Salmon said. “She continues to impress, and her ability to lead in the back is remarkable.”
Alexander continued her stellar return this year after missing the second half of 2006 due to injury. She was the catalyst in the midfield as she controlled play in both games over the weekend. She dished out the game-winning assist in Friday night's victory as she found freshman Kristina Anderson (
“It was nice to see Katelyn's performance this weekend,” Salmon said. “She played outstanding soccer and with great vision. She was definitely a difference maker on the field in our win Friday night.”

FAU Classic All-Tournament Team
