
Ball State Wins Season Finale

MUNCIE, Ind. ? The Ball State softball team defeated the Buffalo Bulls 9-0 on senior day to end the regular season.
Ball State finished the year with a 22-34 overall record. The win over Buffalo gave the Cardinals eight conference wins.
Elizabeth Milian threw a one-hitter to earn her 14th win of the season. BSU defeated the Bulls in five innings due to the eight-run rule.
Amber Wolf blasted a double off the leftfield wall in the second inning. The hit allowed Abby Gross and Amanda Pick to score giving Ball State an early 2-0 lead.
Alisha Etzler started the third inning with a single. Etzler went on to steal second base to record her 26th steal of the season.
Elizabeth Milian hit a double with the bases loaded in the third inning. The hit got past the leftfielder and let all three runners score.
Pick singled to right field to drive Milian home and put the Cards up 6-0.
The Bulls made a pitching change in the fourth inning. Margo Schramm walked the bases loaded, and would be replaced by Sharon Barr after the third walk.
Kam Holle scored on a fielder's choice by Jeziorski. Gross singled up the middle to record 2 RBI's. Gross ends the regular season with a MAC-high 41 RBI.
The Mid-American Conference Tournament will begin May 9th in Midland, Mich., however eight wins will not be enough for Ball State to be eligible for the tournament.
