Soccer Celebrates MAC Championship With President Gora

The Cardinals took home their first ever MAC trophy as they posted a 13-4-3 overall record in the eighth year of the program. The Cardinals tied a school record with eight MAC victories while the 13 overall wins are the third most in program history. The .725 winning percentage is the second highest season in BSU history.
Salmon, the MAC Coach of the Year, guided the Cardinals to a school record seven road victories and a 7-1-1 mark away from home.

The Cardinals also placed three players on the Academic All-MAC squad as Maxwell (3.66 GPA) and Rein (3.70 GPA) joined Holst on the team.
The 2006 soccer season was one of the most successful in Cardinal soccer history and was full of program firsts. The Cardinals head into the 2007 season as defending MAC champions and their sights are aimed high once again as they return 18 letterwinners from last season, including eight of their top 10 scorers from the high-powered attack.
