Women's Golf Sixth At MAC Championship

NASHPORT, Ohio -- Four Cardinals finished in the top 30 overall as the Ball State women's golf team climbed to finish sixth as a team at the 2007 Mid-American Conference Golf Championship.
Kent State won the event with a score of 1203, while Eastern Michigan passed Western Michigan for second place with a 1252.
The Cardinals four-round total of 1333 was good for sixth.
The 72-hole event was played at Longaberger Golf Club in
Senior Kallie Harrison was BSU's top golfer as she finished 21st overall with rounds of 85, 79, 84 and 82 in her final collegiate event.
Freshman Melissa Miller tied for 23rd (81-89-80-82), while freshmen Amy Roberts (89-79-86-84) and Kirsty O'Connor (85-82-87-84) tied for 28th.
Friday's second round was highlighted by O'Connor's hole-on-one of the 146-yard, par three 12th hole. O'Connor's ace was a result of a 5-iron.
Sophomore Sarah Windlan rounded out the BSU five. Windlan finished in 36th place (89-83-87-88).
