Swimming & Diving Hosts Michigan State Saturday

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State University swimming and diving team will host Big Ten foe Michigan State Saturday, Dec. 8 at Lewellen Aquatic Center. The meet is set to begin at 1 p.m. Saturday's meet will be broadcast live on 91.3 WCRD.
Both teams are coming off of victories after claiming the House of Champions at IUPUI last weekend. The Ball State men's team scored 783 points for the victory and the women's team recorded a 795 points. Other teams participating were Northern Colorado, University of Indianapolis, Eastern Illinois, Western Illinois, IUPUI and Butler.
Last season the women managed to tie with Michigan State in East Lansing. The women broke even with the Spartans ending the meet with a total of 150 points. The men lost to MSU by a score of 196-137.
Co-Head coach Laura Seibold-Caudill is a 1976 Michigan State graduate, who was a three-time national finalist in 1 and 3-meter diving, was honored as an All-American for her efforts in 1973, 1974 and 1975. Seibold-Caudill won the East-West Diving Championships while at MSU. Her parents were also both swimmers at Michigan State.
