Women's Tennis Completes Day Three of Invite

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State University women's tennis team closed out its Fall Invitational Sunday afternoon at the newly renovated Cardinal Creek Tennis Center.
The Cardinals opened the day with three losses in doubles play after Emma Retter and teammate Rachel Surowiec dropped their match to Western Michigan twosome Emily Dudzik and Amanda Moccia by a score of 8-1. Jennifer Pollack and Hayley Hall fell to the Broncos duo of Priyanka Parekh and Yumi Matsuto, 8-2. Georgina Thomson and Katherine Rist dropped their match 8-0 to Bowling Green's Andrea Volle and Libby Harrison.
In Flight A singles action Thomson fell to Parekh of WMU 6-3, 6-0. Pollack lost a close one to Moccia of WMU, 6-7 (4), 6-4, 10-7. Hall fell to BGSU's Samantha Kintzel, 6-1, 7-5.
Retter lost in Flight B singles to the Broncos Dudzik, 6-2, 6-2 and Rist dropped her match to the Falcons Menoff, 6-3, 6-2.
Ball State will close out fall play at the Memphis Invitational (Oct. 25-27).
