Ball State begins play at the 2007 Ball State Fall Invitational

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State Women's Tennis team opened first round action today to begin the 2007 Ball State Fall Invitational.
Ball State began play at 6:00 p.m. when the tandem of Emma Retter and Rachel Surowiec faced off against the duo of Samantha Kintzel and Yuka Kobayashi from Bowling Green and Western Michigan. The tandem of Retter and Surowiec were defeated by Kintzel and Kobayashi by a score of 8-6.
The duo of Georgina Thomson and Katherine Rist were also defeated by the doubles team from Western Michigan of Emily Dudzik and Amanda Moccia by a score of 8-5.
The final match of the evening featured the doubles team from Ball State, Jennifer Pollack and Hayley Hall, against Katia Babina and Stefanie Menoff of Bowling Green. Pollack and Hall were defeated by the tandem from Bowling Green by a score of 8-4.
The Ball State Women's Tennis team continues play tomorrow at 10 a.m. and concludes their torunament on Sunday (Oct. 21).
