Women's Tennis Ends Ball State Invitational

MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State University women's tennis team ended its 2006 Fall Invitational on Saturday evening at the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center after dropping all of its doubles matches.
In singles action Ball State's Emma Retter (Winchester,
Christine Stromberg (Rollingmeadows, Ill./Fremd) captured a victory over Chelsey Casperson from Butler 6-1, 6-0 while teammate Haly Calderwood (Newington, Austrailia/Danebank) upset Cleveland State's Sarah Galon, 3-6, 6-4 (10-7). In the last singles match of the day Jennifer Pollack (Memphis, Tenn./White Station) pulled off the 6-7 (7-0), 6-3 (10-4) win over Dayton's Megan Gray.
Ball State continues its fall action when it travels to Miami University in Oxford, Ohio on Saturday (Oct. 7).
