Skillman's 68 Leads Cardinals On Final Day At Michigan

Wisconsin fired a final-round team score of 287 to extend a two-stroke lead entering the final round to an 11-stroke victory over host Michigan in the 14-team event.
The Cardinals managed rounds of 298, 290 and 292 to finish 13th. In addition to Skillman's 68 on Sunday, senior C.D. Hockermsith was next with a 74. Freshman Travis Smith and senior Austin Steele each managed final-round 75s, while senior Wayne Denger posted a 78.
On Saturday, the Cardinals' low rounds of the day came from Denger and Hockersmith. Denger fired a round of 70 in the morning, while Hockersmith matched the score in the afternoon session.
The Cardinals will have two weekends off from competition before returning to action Oct. 2-3 at the Xavier Invitational in Mason, Ohio. BSU hosts its own Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational Oct. 9-10 at Delaware Country Club in Muncie.
