The game has been rescheduled for Saturday afternoon with a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. (2 p.m Muncie time). The Mid-American Conference series will conclude with a single game at 1 p.m. Sunday.
The Cardinals are 29-18 overall and 13-7 in the MAC, while the host Huskies are 23-26 overall and 8-13 in league play.
Left-handed sophomore Ben Snyder, who owns a 5-4 record and a 4.94 ERA, is slated to pitch the first game of Saturday's double-header for Ball State. Tyler Pritchard, a right-handed sophomore with a 5-2 record, is scheduled to start the second game.
For the series finale on Sunday, right-handed junior Ryan DeGeeter is slated to take the hill. DeGeeter threw seven scoreless innings last Sunday against Toledo to lower his ERA to 3.56.
Ball State enters the series on an eight-game winning streak, during which the team is averaging 10 runs per game. Earlier in the week, the Cardinals defeated Indiana State, 9-4, at home and Cincinnati, 13-9, on the road.
